Dental Veneers

Firstly, we start with a Smile Analysis to determine the smile you desire and then we will design the veneer(s) to achieve this.

Our veneers are made using CAD/CAM Dental Technology that allows us to make veneers very quickly that are ultra-thin and fit precisely.

Certanly the veneers we use are ultra-thin, or ´min-prep´ and in many cases it is not necessary to remove any of the tooth enamel to fit the veneer onto the tooth.

Surely the bond between the tooth and veneer is critical and a light-sensitive resin is placed between the surface of the tooth and the veneer and then this is hardened using light.

The procedure is very quick and painless.

For this reason once the veneer has bonded to the tooth, you will be able to speak and eat food normally.

Absoltly you should return to the clinic one week after the veneers were placed so that we can see how your mouth is adapting to the veneers.

Normaly veneers can be fitted in 1 or 2 short sessions.

Absolutly not. They are a very cost effective alternative to other aesthetic treatments, offering instant results and they reshape and whiten teeth permanently.

In reality with the right care, they will last a lifetime.

Definitly after placement of dental veneers, you must commit to good oral hygiene and regular dental visits.

This will help ensure the longevity of the veneers.

In effect they are very strong, but you should avoid stresses such as biting your fingernails, chewing ice or opening packages or beer bottles with your new veneers, as all these can cause damage to the veneer.

If you suffer with bruxism (grinding/clenching of the teeth) we will give you a mouthguard to use at night to protect your veneers and teeth.

After all treat them as you would your original teeth, with routine brushing and flossing using non-abrasive fluoride toothpaste.

Although the veneer itself is not subject to decay, the underlying tooth structure can still be damaged by decay and then this can in turn compromise the veneer.

All our  veneers we use are made of non-porous zirconia porcelain or E-Max and do not stain or lose their color.

Absolutly you should also return to our clinic for regular professional maintenance, once every six months.

We will polish the veneers with a specially formulated, non-abrasive paste and we can inspect the veneers.
